Kids can play on the paddle boats while you enjoy your drinks from the beach bar just across the restaurant. Great atmosphere with live music.

Yesterday, Hein and I enjoyed breakfast at The Fat Olive Country Restaurant, Muldersdrift next to the lake. We've never been here before ... can't give you a reason why not! But our main reason to visit was remote model boats ... from the Gauteng Model Boat Club, based in Emmarentia. It was the perfect day!!! Breakfast was great! Various kinds of boats entertained us! A young lad, maybe 8? had a small speedboat ... and my golly, did he manoeuvre that boat on the dam!!!! It was really a treat. After a while, the boat stopped and then it was Operation Rescue! Sadly, we didn't think to take photos or a video. Another speedboat nudged him and 2 of the bigger boats helped. The Fat Olive is a great spot for breakfast or lunch. They also have the Costa Beach Bar ... on the other side of the lake. A beach bar that opens after 10 am - with sand and pizzas and burgers.
